The Speedcross features a waterproof breathable Gore-Tex membrane that protects your foot from puddle splashes, rainfall, and all-around wetness. Salomon’s SensiFit mesh upper offers a snug, sock-like fit to increase breathable ventilation and decrease chafing. The gusseted tongue provides additional assistance and further prevents sediment from sneaking its way into your sock. 
The infamous QuickLace system provides a speedy and secure way to crank down your shoes, and the discrete lace pocket enables you to stash excess cord, which means you don’t have to worry about tripping over your own foot mid-run. An Ortholite footbed and dual-density EVA midsole assure shock attenuation and a responsive, energetic feel underfoot. The recently updated, multi-directional Contagrip outsole provides creme-de-la-creme traction and stability on all sorts of wet and wild terrain.
